Cane got together in 1975 y began to did a few own songs and covers of Bowie and Mott The Hopple, in 1976 when the first wave of punk was born (Sex Pistols, Damned …) they chose to take the punk train.
The members of the band were Dave 'Pixie' Parker (drummer), Steve Jefford (bass player) and Chris Battersby (guitar player) and Malcom “Kip” Herring (guitar player y vocals).
They signed by Lightning Records after calling to the label themselves and managed to place the song College Girls in the (must have) Streets compilation.
In 1978, they released their first (and finally last) record, the 3x3 EP that Paramecium Records is proud to reissue. The tracks were originally recorded at Berry Street Studios in London and re-mastered and restored by R. Landau.
Three songs and two completely different sides, that perhaps showed the prepunk and the punk era of the band, I’m more into the the B side, but.. to each his own!
