MARK STEN All Ages: The Rise And Fall Of Portland Punk Rock, 197 30.00EUR

'All Ages: The Rise And Fall Of Portland Punk Rock, 1977-1981' is an in-depth history and analysis of Portland's first punk scene, exploring the origins of Poison Idea, Dead Moon, the Wipers and the Neo Boys, as well as Sado-Nation, Smegma, Ice-9, Cleavers, StiphNoyds, Pell Mell, and many others. Illustrated with 100 vintage concert posters and over 400 photographs - most of them never before published - plus, special sections on local fanzines and art, detailed show calendars for each year, and a wealth of contemporaneous memos, budgets, membership logs, and press reprints. Mark Sten was a former bandmate of Fred Cole in King Bee, the 1970's band that was arguably the first Portland punk band to release vinyl (their 7-inch actually beat the first Wipers 7-inch by a few months in 1978!). The band consisted of Fred, Sten and Toody's brother Pat.
